"Wait a minute," says my suspicious cat Sammy, " You really don't want any money?" Well, though it is true that you don't have to pay for these puzzles, there is something you need to do.
What I want instead is that you would invest in God's mission in the world. As a former missionary to Africa, now a retired physician who spent my years doing medical work to underserved communities in the US and abroad, I have seen firsthand how much God cares about justice for the least, the lost and the left out. If anyone reads the Bible with any seriousness, they can't help but see how big God's heart is for the poor and disenfranchised, So, if I can make you a puzzle that you or your child will enjoy, and also raise money for God's mission in the world, it will be a win-win in my book - and hopefully in yours too. Here is what to do: look at the puzzle choices, either for you, for your child, or as a gift for someone else. Then go to the where to donate page and link to the various organizations to see what they are doing to promote God's justice in the world. After you have decided on your puzzle and organization, use the contact page to email me with the choice of puzzle and an address where you want it sent. Then I will ask you, in trust rather than transaction, to go to the organization's donation page and make a contribution within the amounts suggested. I have listed four organizations, each offering a different form of help for those in need, from legal representation to health care to support for the homeless to growing food for the hungry. I hope this will provide at least one area of care you will be excited to support. Recommended amounts will vary depending on the intricacy of the project and the amount of time it takes to create them. But please don't be limited by the amount I suggest. Be generous and be joyful. This is a great opportunity to share. I suppose you could also choose your own organization that is doing God's work in the world and direct your donation there. In that case I hope you would give at the top of the suggested level, or even more, as it is one of your favorites. So look at the puzzle choices, consider the organizations where you can donate, and have some fun while furthering God's work in the world. |
